Please note that the job is NOT UPLOADED until you get a pop-up dialog box with a job number, so please do not close Lightroom until you get that notification. |
What does it mean when it says updating published collections | This is the stage when Lightroom is uploading your images to your ShootDotEdit account. You should see the images moving one-by-one from the "New Photos to Publish" section to "Published Photos". Please note that the job is NOT UPLOADED until you get a pop-up dialog box with a job number, so please do not close Lightroom until you get that notification. |
What does it mean when it says catalog uploading | This is part of the upload steps for your job. You'll want to let Lightroom continue to package and upload your images until you get a pop-up dialog box with a job number. Please do not close Lightroom until you get that notification. |
This is taking awhile - how do I know if the upload is working? How can I see the progress of my upload? | You can track your progress using the Progress Bars in the top left of your LR screen. You should see things change as images are published to our server. There will also be a change in messaging (from "Updating Published Collections" to "Catalog Uploading". This is taking awhile...still. | Upload speeds will vary based on your connection, the size of your catalog and speed of your machine. You'll know it's working if the progress bars are moving, and the messaging in those bars is changing. You'll know when the upload is complete when you get the pop-up window with a job number that confirms we've received your images! |
What does it mean when it says catalog uploading is 100% complete but the progress bars still show up at the top of my screen | This means that Lightroom is still working on transferring data to ShootDotEdit, and/or waiting for confirmation that all of your data has been received. Please note that the job is NOT UPLOADED until you get a pop-up dialog box with a job number, so please do not close Lightroom until you get that notification. |
When is it safe to assume my job has been submitted? | Once your job has finished uploading, you'll get a pop-up window within Lightroom to confirm that we've received your job. This window will also include your job number. As soon as you get that window, your job upload and submission has successfully been submitted and ShootDotEdit can begin working on it. |
