ShootDotEdit leads the industry in color correction for wedding pros
Our Custom Pro Color Correction service color corrects every image of your event to be consistent and accurate to the photo's main subjects' skin tone, typically the bride. In order to color correct each image accurately, we may adjust:
- White Balance
- Temperature
- Tint
- Exposure
- Highlights
- Shadows
- Black Points
- White Points
- Contrast
Syncing adjustments across a job(like batch editing) doesn't do the trick, either. Some images are overexposed, some might be a little too dark, and some are just right. Doing the exact same adjustment on each image could do more harm than good!
Benefits of ShootDotEdit's Color Correction system
- You can depend on a consistent and accurate product, no matter what the event is
- All editors have the same training and provide the same results
- No bias - editors will not insert their own "style" into your work
- No batch edits, as each image is color corrected individually to the main subjects skin tone.
FAQ
Will ShootDotEdit adjust Clarity/Saturation/Sharpening for me?
These adjustments do not fall into our Custom Pro Color Correction process. We leave these types of adjustments up to the photographer's discretion, as they can be much more subjective, and require an artist's touch! However, with a custom Style Match Profile we can take those into account :)
Can you make sure Highlights are adjusted at -20, for every image?
Our editing staff is required to color correct each image individually to give a consistent look to your main subjects skin tone. We are focusing on the consistency of your images themselves, rather than their adjustments.
My preset affects the sliders that you might use for color correcting. What should I do?
We would love to chat with you about this and how we can best try and take those changes into account within a custom Style Match Profile. You can learn more about Style Match here!
I did my cropping and lens corrections before sending to ShootDotEdit for color correction. Are all of these adjustments going to be overwritten?
Our editing staff will not overwrite any non-color adjustments you might make, such as cropping, lens corrections, or skin smoothing. We will also maintain your star ratings, flags, and tags.
