Receiving a Completed Job Back

Once your job is completed, ShootDotEdit will deliver an updated Lightroom Catalog file via email. A link to download this file is also available through your Client Portal. There are two ways to work with this new Catalog file:

Option 1 Step by Step - Using the completed job Catalog

1. Download the completed Catalog file. ShootDotEdit names all completed Catalogs to reflect your job number. Move this Catalog file out of your Downloads folder(Desktop or other location of your preference), and unzip the file. 
2. Open the new Catalog file in Lightroom. You may need to re-associate your image files, and then you can start adding your final touches!

Option 2 Step by Step - Using your original Catalog

1. Download the completed Catalog file. ShootDotEdit names all completed Catalogs to reflect your job number. Move this Catalog file out of your Downloads folder(Desktop or other location of your preference), and unzip the file. 
2. Open your original Catalog in Lightroom, then navigate to File > Import from Another Catalog... 

3. Locate the new Catalog file(#####.lrcat) and click "Choose" 

4. A dialog box will pop up, to confirm your selection and give some options for import. 

• confirm all contents will be imported
• make sure that "Replace: metadata and develop settings only" is selected
• check "Preserve old settings as a virtual copy" only if you would like an unedited version of each photo to be created next to the edited version 

Your original Catalog will now update all images with ShootDotEdit's color corrections, and you can start adding your final touches! :)
