What is an XMP file:
It is a file that records all of the fine tuning custom color correction adjustments made by ShootDotEdit to your RAW files.
This file is designed to be detachable from each native RAW file. It is also, by design, super duper small. Like 5 Kilobits small :)
Lastly, and better yet, it is designed to be swiftly transportable on its own, all the while, preserving 100% of all custom color adjustments.
What does that mean for our customers?
It means that we can custom color correct 1,000 of your 15MB RAW files here in beautiful San Diego and then bundle them up and send them
to you instantaneously via email! You can then simply “merge” your newly adjusted XMP’s with the RAW files they color corrected from and
Viola’! Your RAW files will automatically adjust based on the information provided by the XMP files!
