Our number one goal is to help, so before we ever cancel a subscription, we humbly request that we be given an opportunity to address any concerns or issue(s) you may be having.
If we are unable to address your concern or you would still like to cancel, no problem. We are always working to improve our service, but we understand if we’re not a good fit for you at this time. Just send a cancellation request to email@example.com and we will get that started for you.
Our “Commitment-Free” period of the first 30 days allows you to get out of your subscription plan commitment if you request to cancel within 30 days of your sign up date. This relieves you of the responsibility of paying for a full 12-month subscription. You are only responsible for the $0.39 retail cost of the images from any completed job, minus any payments made towards the subscription. This has been the best way to fairly compensate our team for the work that has already been done and is the only way to break your contract and cancel your subscription plan. If you choose to cancel after the first 30 days, you will be subject to a early termination fee of $199.
As stated in ShootDotEdit’s Terms and Conditions that are accepted upon sign up for the subscription and upon every job submission, there are no refunds of the monthly subscription fees that have already been paid even if no jobs were submitted. Payments are deducted around the same time each month, so please let us know by email before 30 days if you would like to cancel your subscription.

Why do I have to pay for the images that have been completed?
Our subscription plans allow you to send us jobs below the retail value. We can offer this service because of our annual subscription model. If we do the editing work and you decide to break your 12-month commitment, then those images are no longer covered under the subscription plan and are subject to the $0.39 retail value.
Aren’t the first 30 days commitment-free?
Yes! All of our plans include a 30-day commitment-free period which allows you to get out of the 12-month contract. While this means you’re not locked into a 12-month contract until after 30 days, it does not mean we edit the images for free during those first 30 days. Edited images would still be subject to our retail price of $0.39.
We do require all cancellation requests to be sent by email to email@example.com within 30 days of the subscription start date in order to honor the 30-day commitment-free policy.
Can I get a refund of my monthly subscription payment(s)?
Unfortunately, no. ShootDotEdit has a subscription-based model which means you pay the same monthly fee regardless of how much or how little you use the service. The beauty of having a subscription is you will always know how much you’ll be spending on editing each month despite having busy seasons or slow seasons. However, just like cable TV or Netflix, there are no refunds if you don’t use the service. The same applies to your ShootDotEdit subscription plan.
I requested to cancel over the phone. Isn’t that enough?
We appreciate you taking the time to call in and share your feedback, but in order to properly document the cancellation, we require cancellation requests to be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
